GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Delta police could use a little help from their friends—or the general public—to find out who was behind a home burglary that netted $35,000 worth of property, including a collection of Beatles albums on vinyl.

Police spokeswoman Jamie Head says a 50-year-old man returned from out of town on Friday and discovered that several items had been stolen from his Main Street home.

Among the items reported stolen were tools, a pistol, a .22-caliber rifle, and 562 vinyl albums. The man reported that 167 of those were Beatles albums.

Head says the Beatles collection alone is worth nearly $10,000.

Police say they believe the burglar forced entry to the home through a window.
