AURORA — Aurora firefighters were battling a blaze in a strip mall near East Colfax Avenue and Peoria Street late Wednesday.
The blaze started in one of the stores, but it was too soon to estimate the damage to others in the Peoria Market, said Aurora fire Capt. Allen Robnett.
The call came from residents who smelled smoke in the area shortly before 10 p.m., he said.
