Wrendy Rayhill scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-1 loss to The Classical Academy, giving the Fountain Valley soccer star 106 for her career. She stands No. 1 in Colorado annals. The senior reached the century mark April 17. She scored 27 goals as a freshman, 40 as a sophomore and 22 as a junior, and has 17 in 2009. Carisa Bradford (1992-95) of Lewis-Palmer set the standard of 100 goals, and Nikki Marshall (2002-06) of Skyline matched it as Rayhill was beginning her run. Rayhill can’t believe she’s coming to the end of her glorious run. “Time flies when you’re having fun,” she said. The national mark for career goals is a whopping 286, by Erin Martin of Temple City, Calif.
