Colorado could see 4,660 new jobs by 2015 and 11,600 by 2025 as a result of energy-efficiency programs, according to a report released Thursday by the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project.
The report examines the efficiency initiatives in Gov. Bill Ritter’s Colorado Climate Action Plan and their impact on employment and income.
The report concluded that higher efficiency in homes, workplaces and vehicles could raise salaries in the state by more than $100 million a year in the near term and $440 million a year by 2025.
