LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska guard Ryan Anderson has declared himself eligible for the NBA draft.
Anderson is a 6-foot-4 senior guard from Seattle who would be a senior in eligibility next season. He averaged 7.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game last season.
The draft is June 25, but an underclassmen can withdraw his name from consideration by June 15 if he doesn’t hire an agent.
Nebraska coach Doc Sadler told the Lincoln Journal Star on Thursday that Anderson doesn’t plan to sign with an agent and that he expected him to be back with the Cornhuskers next season.
Sadler said Anderson declared for the draft so he could get an evaluation from NBA personnel officials.
