BOULDER — Erik Kiesau, the University of Colorado’s receivers coach and passing coordinator, is being promoted to offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach, replacing Mark Helfrich.
Helfrich, 35, is leaving the Buffaloes. Although no announcement has been made, he interviewed for a similar position at the University of Oregon last week.
Kiesau, 36, is the second-youngest offensive coordinator in Buffs history, replacing the man who was younger by 13 months.
Coach Dan Hawkins said he wants to name a new receivers coach as soon as possible.
