Runners, walkers, volunteers and friends of a murdered Adams County prosecutor will memorialize him with the first Sean May Memorial Run/Walk on May 16 at Barr Lake State Park in Brighton.

Proceeds from the $35 entry fee will benefit the 17th Judicial District/Adams Broomfield Bar Association’s Access to Justice Committee and the Sean May Memorial Fund. The entry fee covers the entrance fee to the park, parking and a T-shirt.

Investigators still aren’t sure why May was ambushed in the yard of his northwest Denver home in August. He left behind a pregnant wife, who has since given birth. A $125,000 reward has not led to an arrest.

For registration forms or more information, visit or contact Brian Bowen (303-654-3295 or brian.bowen@judicial.state.co.us) or Loren Brown (303-450-1665 or lorenbrown@colo-law.com).

Registration fees and donations may be mailed to the Adams Broomfield Bar Association, attention Access to Justice Run, at P.O. Box 720, Brighton, CO 80601.
