BRIGHTON — Runners, walkers, volunteers and friends of a murdered Adams County prosecutor will memorialize him with the first Sean May Memorial Run/Walk on May 16 at Barr Lake State Park in Brighton.

Proceeds from the $35 entry fee will benefit the 17th Judicial District/Adams Broomfield Bar Association’s Access to Justice Committee and the Sean May Memorial Fund. The entry fee covers the entrance fee to the park, parking and a T-shirt.

Investigators still aren’t sure why May was ambushed in his backyard in northwest Denver in August. He left behind a wife and a then-unborn child.
