Breckenridge: Blue Sage Spa, Breckenridge (224 S. Main St., 970-453-7676, ). Modern day spa downtown with great views, Eminence Organics products. Try this: Decadent Chocolate Therapy, where you are coated in, yes, chocolate in the form of a tannin-rich scrub, then slathered in a cocoa-buttery hot fudge mask ($165/90 minutes).
Crested Butte: Wildflower Spa (6 Emmons Loop, 970-349-8063, ). Simple, pretty day spa at the base of the ski area, emphasis on plant-derived products, use of Grand Lodge’s pools, fitness center and rest of facility next door. Try this: the Abhyanga (ahbee-yanga) massage, which uses warm, herb-infused oils to stimulate the lymphatic system ($135/60 minutes).
Glenwood Springs: Yampah Spa & Salon at Hot Springs Spa & Caves (709 E. Sixth St., 970-945-0667, ). Underground, hot springs-fed steam baths in caves, some private, great for couples. Get a treatment and then soak. Aveda products. Try this: Rose petal and body-cream masque ($68/60 minutes).
Snowmass: The Spa at the Snowmass Club (0239 Snowmass Club Circle, 970-923-5600, snow ). Inviting pools, with an adult lap pool and hot tubs, indoor whirlpool and steam rooms and large fitness center. Try this: the Snowmass Club Glow, a hydrating treatment with enzyme-peeling masque to soothe sun-damaged skin, then applications of Royal Jelly and natural essential oils ($135/50 minutes).
Steamboat Springs: Strawberry Park Hot Springs (44200 County Road 36, 970-879-0342, ). One of the finest hot springs in the state. Clothing-optional after dark, very classy; top-notch massage therapists, all in a relaxing and beautiful environment. Try this: the Watsu, stretching and acupressure while submerged in water ($50/30 minutes, $90/60 minutes).

A hop-skip from Winter Park, newly renovated, stunning setting, geothermally heated pools and constructed from sustainable resources. Try this: the Cowgirl’s Getaway, for two to four, includes foot soak by the fire, wine and cheese, 50-minute Swedish massage, scalp, hand and foot massage, mini- facial and Alpenglow body scrub ($295/person)
Telluride: The Golden Door Spa at Peaks Resort (136 Country Club Drive, 970-728-6800, thepeaks ). Recently updated, with a great pool and deck with stellar views, an oxygen-inhalation room and eucalyptus steam room. Try this: the O2 Repair Facial, with 87 vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids, plus live oxygen ($160/50 minutes).
Vail: RockResorts Spa at The Arrabelle at Vail Square (675 Lionshead Place, 866-662-7625, ). Inviting, oversized whirlpool surrounded by comfy contoured loungers, private relaxation rooms and elaborate wet-treatment rooms. Try this: the Apres-Sport Massage, in which a menthol-scented gel is applied before a deep-tissue rubdown. ($155/50 minutes, $235/80 minutes).
