LOVELAND — Mary Walker hasn’t found a suitable job since she was laid off in January, so she organized her own job fair.
The Loveland woman, with help from volunteers, has organized the Northern Colorado Job Fair, set for Tuesday at Crossroads Church in Loveland. Walker, a member of the church, and seven volunteers have lined up 18 employers to attend.
Walker was a training manager for a Denver-based call center. She say she hopes the job fair will give people some hope and excitement.
Dennis Anderson, a pastor at Crossroads, says the church got involved to help the community. He says an increasing number of people is his congregation are unemployed or underemployed.
