COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Colorado Springs man has been found guilty of murdering the mother of his son and throwing her body from a cliff in 2007.
Salvator Esquivel-Castillo was convicted of first-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Jaclyn Funderburg. The woman’s body was found at the base of a cliff 11 days after she disappeared in 2007.
Esquivel-Castillo went on trial twice before for Funderburg’s death. Both ended in mistrial, most recently last August because of an evidence error.
