SAGUACHE, Colo.—Campers in the San Isabel National Forest have found a motorcycle last used by a Saguache (suh-WAHCH’) County man who’s been missing for more than a month.

Sheriff’s Investigator Mark Werts says a family camping in the Cotton Creek area south of Salida found the Honda CRF-230 motorcycle Sunday at the bottom of a rocky embankment, but Werts says it doesn’t appear the motorcycle was involved in a crash.

He says it looks like the Honda was thrown or dumped over the edge.

Fifty-six-year-old Michael Rust called a friend March 31 to say he was following some tracks near his home because he believed his residence had been broken into. He was reported missing April 2.

A bloody vest was found near Rust’s home on Saturday.

Werts says a DNA test showed the blood belonged to Rust.
