ALPHA CENTER: The Fort Collins- based Christian nonprofit medical clinic appointed Jenny Langness as executive director, replacing Sharon Hindman, who is retiring after 19 years with the center.

GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY OFFICE: Appointed Dr. Art Davidson, director of Denver Public Health Informatics, to the national Health Information Technology Policy Committee. The committee will make recommendations on creating a policy framework for the development and adoption of a nationwide health information- technology infrastructure.

UNIVERSITY OF DENVER: Student Jordan De Herrera was honored as a member of the USA Today 2008 All-USA College Academic Second Team.
