ARVADA — An Arvada teen pleaded guilty Wednesday to criminally negligent homicide in the “skitching” death of 16-year- old Ryan Bailey.
The teen, now 17, was driving a Ford Mustang on Feb. 25 with Bailey, a friend, hanging onto the side of the car while being pulled on a skateboard, according to the Jefferson County district attorney’s office.
Bailey, who was not wearing a helmet, lost his grip on the car and was run over. He died at a hospital.
Bailey and the teen were Ralston Valley High School students.
The teen driver was not identified by prosecutors because of his age.
