Three construction workers were injured this afternoon in Westminster when a partially built roof fell on top of them, pinning one of the workers.

Westminster Fire Department responded to the one-story building at 122nd Avenue and Pecos Street around 5:15 p.m. and rescued the pinned worker. The two others workers were injured by falling debris. All were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

“Two are serious (injuries) but I don’t think any of them are life threatening,” said Diana Allen, spokeswoman for the Westminster Fire Department.

The trusses holding up the not-yet-completed roof came crashing down on the workers, said Allen.
