COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Colorado Springs man is dead after a motorcycle crash just south of the city.
The Colorado State Patrol says 23-year-old Cory Thacker was northbound on Colorado 85/87 in unincorporated El Paso County when he lost control of his Harley-Davidson on a curve at about 8 p.m. Thursday.
The motorcycle went off the road, struck a rock and a concrete planter.
Thacker was thrown from the bike. He was taken to Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Authorities say he was wearing eye protection but had no helmet.
The accident remains under investigation.
