Record year for Colfax Marathon
More than 5,300 runners, relay teams and wheelchair racers have registered for the Denver Post Colorado Colfax Marathon Sunday. The race starts and ends in the newly renovated City Park Pavilion and follows parts of Colfax Avenue through Aurora, Denver and Lakewood. The full and half marathons begin at 6 a.m. Sunday, but the event spans the whole weekend, including a Sports & Fitness Expo noon to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and Colorado Kids Fun Runs Saturday (8 a.m. registration, 10 a.m. start).
