CHEYENNE — A nonpartisan group that tracks election funding reports that energy and real estate interests were among the top contributors to Wyoming state lawmakers in last year’s campaign.
The National Institute on Money in State Politics recently released its report on Wyoming’s state-level data for 2008 legislative campaigns.
It shows that average spending on Wyoming House races rose from just over $5,300 in 2006 to more than $6,800 last year.
Average spending on state Senate races fell from over $10,800 in 2006 to just under $10,100.
