AURORA, Colo.—A man wanted in a slaying in Aurora has been arrested in Hays, Kan.

Aurora police spokesman Detective Bob Friel said Sunday 21-year-old Corey Ray Albat was being held without bond on suspicion of first-degree murder. He was wanted in the death of a man who was shot multiple times and found in a car early Saturday.

Police have not released the identity of the slaying victim.

Friel said Albat, who was also wanted on a drug charge, will be extradited to Colorado.

There was no phone listing for Albat in either Colorado or in Kansas. It was not immediately known if he had retained an attorney.
