MILWAUKEE — Danny Gokey has big plans for his life after “American Idol.” Besides touring this summer with the top 10 finalists, the former church music director plans to work more with Sophia’s Heart Foundation. He started it after his wife, Sophia, died during surgery for a congenital heart defect last summer.
The 29-year-old also wants to start his own eyeglass line and make a “soulful” album.
Gokey was voted off the popular Fox competition Wednesday night. On Thursday, Gokey said his scream at the end of Aerosmith’s “Dream On” might have been a factor. The Associated Press
