DENVER—KMGH-TV, Denver, and KRDO-TV, Colorado Springs-Pueblo, collected more awards than any other station at the 2008 Colorado Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards luncheon.
Each station won 10 awards during a ceremony held Saturday at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver.
KRDO finished first in five categories including sportscast, weathercast and general reporting. KMGH placed first in four categories including newscast, Web site, investigative reporting and sports special.
KMTS-FM, Glenwood Springs, won nine awards, including first-place plaques for newscast, sportscast, spot news, investigative reporting and sports special. KUNC-FM, Greeley, took home eight awards.
Entries were judged by AP member broadcasters in New Jersey.
