Authorities have identified the victim in a Friday school-bus accident as an 89-year-old Littleton woman.

Elizabeth R. King was pronounced dead about 5 p.m. Friday at Littleton Hospital, said Trooper David Hall of the Colorado State Patrol.

King was driving a gray 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo east on West Brook Drive Friday at 3:55 p.m. when she didn’t stop at a stop sign and turned onto southbound Wadsworth Boulevard into the path of a 1996 school bus, Hall said.

Three Colorado Academy schoolchildren, ages 17, 15 and 7, were on the bus at the time and were not injured.
