GOLDEN, Colo.—Jefferson County is facing two employment discrimination lawsuits that could add to the $160,000 they have paid to staffers who sued the last two years.
Two women are claiming their boss made unwelcome comments about sexual abuse he suffered as a child and about a sex tape he made with his wife. County Administrator Jim Moore, who is named in the lawsuit, denied the allegations.
The county declined to comment.
The employees suing the county are 54-year-old Jerelyn Bowers and 58-year-old Judy Goebel. Goebel claims she was fired after she told Moore she needed to take medical leave.
Goebel herself was a defendant along with Moore in one of two lawsuits the county settled in the last two years. She was accused of creating a hostile work environment.
