CAMARILLO, Calif. — The price of gas in the U.S. jumped 25 cents a gallon during the past three weeks, according to the Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday. Analyst Trilby Lundberg says the average U.S. price of regular-grade gas was $2.30 a gallon Friday, up from $2.05 a gallon April 24 but $1.49 a gallon cheaper than at this time last year. The lowest price was in Phoenix at $1.99 a gallon. The highest was in Chicago at $2.63.
