BERTHOUD, Colo.—The Longmont Times-Call and the Loveland Reporter-Herald have switched to a new press owned by their parent company, Lehman Communications Corp.
Tuesday’s editions were the first to be printed on the manroland Uniset 75 in a new plant in Berthoud, about 10 miles from Longmont and five miles from Loveland.
Both newspapers had been printed at the company’s Longmont site. Both will keep their news and advertising operations in their Longmont and Loveland buildings.
The new press will also print Lehman’s three weekly newspapers, the Louisville Times, Lafayette News and Erie Review.
The company says the new press gives it the ability to use color on every page and accommodates its growing commercial printing business.
The old press will be sold.
