Denver’s City Park will begin a new season of dancing water and lights, choreographed to music, tonight in Ferril Lake.

The prismatic electric fountain shows will kick off at noon, but ordinarily the lighted water shows will begin each night just after dusk, with shows about every half-hour.

After many years in disrepair, the fountain was restored by the city and private donors at a cost of $3.2 million.

The restored fountain was dedicated in August, just before the Democratic National Convention in Denver and a little more than 100 years after the original fountain was completed before the 1908 Democratic National Convention in Denver.
