Aurora Police have arrested one of two suspects wanted in connection with a homicide that left a man dead in the street last Sunday.

Harrel Gene Keeling Jr., 33, was arrested near 35th Ave and Chambers Road in Aurora on a warrant alleging first degree murder and transported to the Aurora Detention Center. He will be held without bond until he appears in Arapahoe County Court.

Police are still asking the public for help in locating a second suspect, Leland Peter Richardson, 33. Both men are suspected in the killing of a man in the 1600 block of South Ouray Street.

Friday, the Major Crimes Unit obtained first degree murder warrants for Leland and Keeling.

Police said Richardson is 5 feet 10 inches tall, 230 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The men are considered armed and dangerous, according to a news release by police.
