Two men were injured Monday afternoon near a Weld County home when lightning struck the shotgun of a man as he aimed at a skeet target.
The man holding the gun and a man standing next to him were knocked down by the 2:12 p.m. lightning strike , according to Weld County Undersheriff Margie Martinez.
The men were identified as Josh Renuch, 32, and Brent Kuehne, 32. Renuch is listed in critical condition, and Kuehne is in good condition at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Martinez said.
