BROOMFIELD, Colo.—Authorities have identified a couple who were shot to death in Broomfield as 50-year-old Leigh Landskroner and her 58-year-old husband Howard Blair Kepler.
Adams County coroner Jim Hibbard, who is assisting authorities in neighboring Broomfield, said Wednesday that Landskroner was shot by Kepler and that Kepler was shot by police.
Police say Kepler died at the scene and Landskroner was pronounced dead later at Saint Anthony Central Hospital in Denver.
Officers had gone to the couple’s residence on a domestic violence report. Police haven’t said whether Landskroner was shot before or after officers arrived.
An investigation is under way.
