Denver police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred early Friday in a Burger King parking lot.
Detectives think 49-year-old Lilian Verdonkshot was deliberately run over in the parking lot of the Burger King at West 6th Avenue and Broadway after an argument about 2:30 a.m. Verdonkshot was taken to Denver Health Medical Center and pronounced dead at 7 a.m.
In a news release, police said they found what they believe to be the suspect vehicle about 3 p.m. Friday in Boulder County. The people who had been in the vehicle are still at large.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact police.
