COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Division of Wildlife officers have tranquilized a deer that crashed through the window of a Colorado Springs motel room.

Police say the deer hit the window and smashed through it at about 5 a.m. Friday at the Nevada Motel, in the 1000 block of South Nevada Avenue.

One man was inside the room at the time. He told a Colorado Springs television station he thought a rock had been thrown through the window, but soon realized it was a deer and corralled the animal into the bathroom.

The panicked deer destroyed the toilet and flooded the room.

The man says he’s a maintenance worker for the hotel, so he’ll have to repair the damage himself.

His name wasn’t released.

The deer was removed from the room and relocated.
