Charitable resale. Chelsea Geyer, a 19-year-old employee at the children’s resale store Kid to Kid, has enlisted her bosses to help fund an upcoming aid trip to Africa. Beginning earlier this week and continuing through today, 15 percent of the store’s sales will support Geyer’s trip to Swaziland, where nearly a quarter of the population is infected with HIV. She will work for six weeks as a children’s advocate at a youth center in Mbabane. The store also will donate items for Geyer, a Nyack College student, to take with her for children there. “She’s a pretty remarkable employee,” says store owner Todd Frick. Kid to Kid stocks gently used kids clothes, toys and baby furnishings.
