DENVER—One woman is dead after an early-morning hit-and-run at a Denver fast food restaurant.
Authorities say an argument broke out about 2 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of a Burger King at 6th Avenue and Broadway. A vehicle with two females and a male rear-ended another vehicle containing three females.
Police say one female got out of the front vehicle and was struck by the second vehicle, whose occupants then drove away. Investigators say it appears the woman was struck deliberately.
The victim was taken to Denver Health Medical Center, where she later died. Police identified her as 49-year-old Lilian Verdonkshot.
Police say they have found a possible suspect vehicle in Boulder County and are working to identify the occupants.
