Just call him “Ace”

With his second career ace, 13-year-old Payton DeVencenty won the Colorado Junior Golf Association tournament Wednesday at Springhill Golf Course. It was his fourth tournament win of the year.

The eighth-grader-to-be from Aurora, who shot a 2-over-par 67 to win the 11-13 junior series event by two strokes, used a pitching wedge on the 125-yard 10th hole for his hole-in-one; his first ace came last year at his home course, Green Valley Ranch.

Meanwhile, 9-year-old Elizabeth Wang of Parker played up into the 11-13 division and shot a 6-over 71 to win girls division by nine strokes.
