The Colorado General Assembly’s Legislative Audit committee on Monday directed State Auditor Sally Symanski to come up with a framework for auditing of the Regional Transportation District.
Sen. Lois Tochtrop, D-Thornton, said she hoped an audit of RTD will investigate such issues as executive compensation, RTD’s use of eminent domain and whether privatization of transit services by RTD is effective.
Colorado law requires a performance audit of RTD by the state every five years, Symanski said.
