A woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident at about 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Sheridan Boulevard, Denver police said today.

The woman was walking across the street mid-block with two other people when she was struck, said Sonny Jackson, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.

Jackson said the two other pedestrians were not injured.

He said there was no pedestrian crosswalk on Sheridan where the trio was crossing.

Jackson said investigators are hoping to obtain a good description of the vehicle that struck the woman.

Police have not released the age or identity of the woman.
