COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Colorado Springs police officer and a 13-year-old boy have been treated and released from a hospital after the teen allegedly assaulted the officer and the boy fell to the ground.
Police say Officer Matthew Davis tried to talk to the boy, whose guardian had reported that he was making threats and was out of control.
But the boy allegedly threatened to kill Davis, and hit, kicked and bit him as the officer tried to place the teen in handcuffs.
Police arrested the boy on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. The teen is being held at a juvenile detention facility.
Davis was treated for facial lacerations, a bite wound on his hand and a sprained right thumb.
