ASPEN, Colo.—Finesse Mitchell, Will Durst, Ted Alexandro and Lisa Landry are among comedians scheduled to perform at the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival this year.
Teams of college students also are competing to be named the country’s funniest college students at the three-day festival, which runs through Saturday.
Rooftop Comedy started holding the event last year, filling a void left after HBO held its last U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen in 2007. CEO Will C. Rogers says the festival is a one-stop comedy shop to see up-and-coming entertainers.
Rooftop Comedy, based in San Francisco, records live comedy from clubs around the world nightly and distributes them to mobile, online, broadcast and print outlets.
