No-garage garage sale. “Chi-Chi Va” is the PlatteForum’s benefit sale today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Riverfront Park community has donated a variety of items to the sale including furniture, books, vintage pieces, toys and kids’ gear. Proceeds go directly to ArtLab, a PlatteForum program that employs young people during the summer and results in a social issues play.

Book extravaganza. The 34th annual Used Book Sale continues through Sunday at the Denver Public Library. A large outdoor tent houses books on countless topics along with DVDs, CDs and audio books. You can shop today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Teachers and nonprofit organizations (with valid identification) are invited to the Great Book Giveaway offered from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
