A 25-year-old Denver man is accused of sexually assaulting two of his girlfriend’s younger relatives.
Jose Sayago-Acona, 25, has been charged with multiple felony sex crimes on children, according to a media release from the Denver district attorney’s office.
The victims were ages 10 and 7 and living with Sayago-Acona’s girlfriend when the abuse began in April 2008, according to prosecutors.
Sayago-Acona faces three counts of sexual assault on a child, three counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, two counts of sexual assault on a child — pattern of abuse, and two counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust — pattern of abuse.
Sayago-Acona is being held at the Denver County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in a Denver court Thursday.
