Disgruntled wide receiver Brandon Marshall will be back on a football field here Thursday, but it’s not the one Broncos fans are hoping for.

Marshall is expected attend his youth football camp, called “Camp 15,” at Overland High in Aurora, which runs today and Friday.

Marshall was a no-show at the team’s Dove Valley headquarters for the final three weeks of the voluntary offseason program and for the mandatory minicamp last weekend. His agent has said that Marshall has asked to be traded.

Teammates remain hopeful, though, that Marshall and team officials will figure out a way to keep the team’s No. 1 receiver in Denver.

“Not much has been said about it. I’m sure the receivers talk about it more than we do,” center Casey Wiegmann said. “It doesn’t affect us too much, but yeah, we definitely want Brandon on the field.

“We all know the talent he has. We definitely want him out there and learn our new offense and I think he’ll be happy about it.”
