Fourteen Boy Scouts and one adult staffer are under quarantine at a southern Colorado camp after one of them tested positive for the flu.
Officials are waiting for tests to determine whether it’s the swine flu strain.
The Scouts and the adult medic are being kept in a separate area at the San Isabel Boy Scout Camp, near Rye, away from about 150 other Scouts from states including Texas and Kansas.
Rene Monarez, head of the Scouts’ Rocky Mountain chapter, said the quarantined boys are from Plano, Texas, and Houston, and their parents have been notified. They’ll remain at camp until their session ends Saturday.
The 14 Scouts were taken to a hospital in Pueblo after they showed flu-like symptoms this week. Some of them had traveled together in the same vehicle.
