GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A man accused of beating a drilling rig worker to death four years ago has been ordered to face murder charges.
Ronald Isaac has been ordered to face trial in the death of his former roommate Paul Graves. Graves was severely beaten in the bedroom of the Parachute mobile home they shared after going to a bar with Isaac earlier in the evening. Graves lived about a year with brain injuries before dying in April of 2006.
Ninth Judicial District Court Judge Dan Petre ruled Friday there is enough evidence for Isaac to go to trial on second-degree murder and manslaughter charges.
Isaac is defending himself and told the judge he is innocent.
