PUEBLO, Colo.—A candlelight vigil is planned to mark the anniversary of the death of a Pueblo police officer.

Nicholas Heine died last year on June 21. He had a heart condition and collapsed and died while running to a disturbance downtown.

His widow says the vigil is being held a day late because her husband would’ve wanted his co-workers to spend Father’s Day with their families. The Pueblo Police Benevolent Association is putting on the vigil, which begins at 8 p.m. Monday in downtown Pueblo.
