The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on Thursday passed an amended version of the Clean Water Restoration Act. The bill reaffirms broad protection for streams, lakes and wetlands and will be introduced in the full U.S. House of Representatives.
Homan honored.
Doug Homan, 30-year Colorado Division of Wildlife employee and district wildlife manager in the Hotchkiss area, received a lifetime achievement award from the agency. Homan has worked in the Hotchkiss area since 1982 and has been particularly active in habitat partnership projects to protect a variety of wildlife species.
