The Denver Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in tracking down men who forced a woman from her car and then stole the vehicle.
Police believe the man in the store surveillance photograph was among the three men involved in the crime.
The incident happened at about 2:20 a.m. on May 24 at a Bradley gas station at 1121 E. Alameda Ave., police said in a Crime Stoppers media release.
The man in the photo was watching the victim inside the store and followed her out to the parking lot, police said. The woman drove away and when she stopped at a nearby traffic light, two other men who had been with the man in the photo pulled her out of her car and stole it, dragging the victim several feet before she was able to free herself.
The man in the photo didn’t get into the car and fled the area on foot, police said.
Police described him as a Hispanic man, about 30, with a shaved head, a black goatee and multiple tattoos on both arms and his neck.
The victim’s car has been recovered since the incident.
Police ask that anyone with information on the crime, or who may recognize the man in the photo, call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
Callers can remain anonymous and receive a $2,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest or conviction.
