A league-leading eight Denver Outlaws were named to Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game rosters Tuesday and will be pitted against each other when the game faces off July 16 at Invesco Field.
The game will pit veteran stars against younger players in a “Old School vs. Young Guns” format. The MLL has played an East vs. West game the past two seasons.
Outlaws attacker Brendan Mundorf, who leads the MLL in scoring with 24 points, along with midfielders Brian Langtry and Kyle Harrison, and defenseman Lee Zink will play on the veteran team.
Denver attackman Drew Westervelt, rookie midfielder Max Seibald, defenseman Matt Bocklett, and goalie Jesse Schwartzman will play for the young team.
The Outlaws and Toronto Nationals, each with eight all-star players, lead all teams.
Denver coach Brian Reese and his assistant coaching staff will head the veteran team.
The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. and will broadcast live on ESPN2.
