Hans Solo, a.k.a. Harrison Ford, is coming to Denver Nov. 14 to be honored at the Sixth Annual Spreading Wings Gala at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum.
The Spreading Wings Award celebrates men and women who have dedicated their lives to aviation. Previous winners include test pilot Chuck Yeager and adventurer Steve Fossett.
Ford, an actor and accomplished pilot of both helicopters and airplanes, is known for his roles in “Star Wars” and “Air Force One.” The famously reclusive actor lives on an 800 acre estate in Wyoming and is engaged to actress Calista Flockhart.
Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum has on display a full-sized “Star Wars” X-Wing fighter.
