Denver’s two-day Pridefest continues today with a parade beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Cheesman Park. The parade will travel up Franklin Street and then along East Colfax Avenue to Civic Center. U.S. Rep. Jared Polis, the first openly gay non-incumbent elected to Congress, is scheduled to march in the parade.
The festival will continue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Organizers expect 200,000 people to attend the annual celebration by Denver’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. The Denver Post
