Wood-fired pizzas, calzones, pasta dishes and grilled steaks, seafood and sandwiches are only part of the story behind the recently opened Eddyline Restaurant & Brewery in Buena Vista’s South Main community.

The rest is found in the accompanying lagers and ales brewed on location by seasoned brewers Mic and Molley Heynekamp, who also own the Socorro Springs Brewing Company in Socorro, N.M. The brews keep the mountain community feeling flowing while the comfort food and a 700-degree pizza oven make for a cozy destination after a day on the nearby Arkansas River, bike trails or surrounding mountains.

Get there: 926 South Main St., a couple of blocks from the Main Street intersection with Highway 24 in Buena Vista.
